The press photographer
Gaetano Di Rosa
Already in my early years, as a teenager, I discovered my passion for
photography.
First I photographed family members and friends, then I focused more and more
on amateur football and music events. During my school time I wrote and
photographed for the Saarbrücker Zeitung.
I gained my first professional experience in 1988 in the football matches of the
senior national teams of Luxembourg and Italy and in the italian Serie A
championship between SSC Napoli with Diego Maradona and AC Milan with
Franco Baresi.
The first photo reports from the concerts with Deep Purple, Rory Gallagher,
Status Quo and Michael Jackson also initiated my career as a press
photographer.
Between the years 2000 and 2012, numerous accreditations in the professional
sports sector followed, from Artistic Gymnastics to Tennis.
From 2013 to 2020 I worked as a freelance photographer for the district
newspaper Böblinger Boote.
Since 2020 I’m a press photographer with a focus on concerts, professional
football and volleyball.
